20160704 Travessia - FINAL_PT_Page_06

Travessia, Portuguese for Crossing, is a micro-publication (or non-political pamphlet, if you will), with visual notes of a specific leg of the trip to Ilha do Ibo (Ibo Island, Quirimbas Archipelago, Mozambique) back in 2002.  The photos were made with a not so good analog camera at the time, and I recently had the opportunity to digitize the film negatives.

About Maria GC Aragão

Architect, part-time lecturer, external examiner. I am interested in spaces of collective memory, the visual arts and architecture’s potential to enable change. I practice at the intersection between meaning, aesthetics and commerce. As an external examiner I look to architecture as an act of translation
